Privacy Policy

This page explains, in plain words, what happens to data when you use this email generator. It is written to be read, not to be skimmed past — the service works differently from a normal mailbox, and the difference matters.

The one thing to understand first

⚠️
Mailboxes here are public. There is no registration, no password and no owner. Any address on this service can be opened by anyone who types it — including an address you consider yours. Treat every message that arrives here as readable by strangers.

That is the trade-off of a disposable address: you get a mailbox instantly and anonymously, and in exchange it is not private. Never use it for anything you would not publish — password resets for accounts you care about, banking, medical or identity documents, or private correspondence.

What we store

Messages sent to an address on this service

Incoming mail is accepted by our servers, stored so that it can be displayed to you, and deleted automatically after a short retention period measured in days. We do not archive it, we do not read it for content, and we do not use it to build profiles. Attachments are handled the same way as the message they came with and disappear together with it.

You can delete a message yourself at any time. Deletion removes it from the mailbox view; copies inside routine system backups, if any exist, age out on their own schedule.

Technical records

Like any web server, ours records requests: an IP address, the time, the page requested, and the browser's user-agent string. These records exist to keep the service running and to deal with abuse — floods, scraping, attempts to break in. They are kept for a limited period and are not used for advertising.

What we do not collect

We do not ask for your name, your real email address, a phone number or a payment method, because the service does not need them. There is no account to create, so there is no account database to leak.

Cookies and similar storage

The site stores a small amount of data in your browser. Roughly, it falls into three groups:

Where the law requires consent before non-essential cookies are set — the EU and EEA, the UK, and a number of other jurisdictions — the analytics and advertising groups stay switched off until you agree. You can change your mind at any time through Cookie settings in the footer.

Third parties

Two Google services are used on this site:

These companies process that data under their own terms, which we do not control. If you want to limit ad personalisation across the web, Google's own ad settings are the right place to do it, not this site.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share mailbox contents with advertisers, data brokers or anyone else — with one exception, below.

When we would hand something over

We may disclose stored data if we are legally required to, or where it is necessary to protect the service and its users against abuse. In practice this is rare, and it concerns technical records far more often than message contents — which, in any case, are short-lived by design.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, data protection law may give you the right to ask what is held about you, to have it corrected or erased, or to object to certain processing. Two practical notes:

Children

This service is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has used the service in a way that requires attention, contact us and we will look into it.

Security

Traffic is served over HTTPS, and access to the systems that store mail is restricted. No service can promise perfect security, and we do not: the honest statement is that a public mailbox is not a safe place for anything sensitive, no matter how well the servers are protected.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Continuing to use the service after that means the current version applies.

Contact

Questions about this policy, or a request concerning data on this service, can be sent to our feedback address — click to show it. Please include enough detail for us to identify what you are asking about — for a mailbox, that means the full address.
